Another hat and sunscreen weekend ahead!  Here are some events for summer fun in the city.  The Lite Crew will be handing out free swag at several:

Keep Calm and Summer On, Saturday, July 14th, 10am – 2pm, Beulah Alliance Church, 17504 98 Ave.  Beulah Community Fun Day – enjoy the outdoors with live music, a petting zoo, bouncy castles, games, a mouthwatering BBQ and so much more

Five Guys Racing for the Cure, Saturday, July 14th, 11am – 5pm, Save On Foods –
11180 Ellerslie Road.  Support our Fire Fighters community carnival and BBQ.  Lots to see for all, food, games, tattoos, magicians, fire trucks and more.  All proceeds to the
Alberta Cancer Foundation

Show & Shine at the Marketplace at Callingwood, Saturday, July 14, 12:30pm – 4:30pm, Marketplace at Callingwood 6655 178 Street.  Free to attend.  Show and Shine – an impressive display of custom cars.  Many other family activities all in support of the Edmonton Humane Society

Karma for the Kure, Sunday, July 15th, 8am – 4:30pm, Aurora Charter School 12245 131 St.  $10 drop in fee for yoga classes.  A Yogathon, Silent Auction and bake sale for cancer research.  All proceeds to the Alberta Cancer Foundation

Sourdough River Raft Float Fest, Sunday, July 15th– Monday, July 16th, Terwilligar Park.  Edmonton’s biggest competitive water fight!

The EDMONTON VALLEY ZOO SUMMER CELEBRATION, Sunday, July 15th, 12-4:00pm.  A variety of games, crafts and activities to mark the changes in seasons, welcome new animals and celebrate National Zookeeper Week. The FEATS FESTIVAL OF DANCE,  final weekend!  Ends on Saturday, July 14th, various Edmonton venues. Local and international choreographers and dancers showcasing a wide variety of art and movement. And opportunity to learn dance yourself: professional master classes on tap, new media, dancing with babies, body conditioning, and ballroom dance give dancers the opportunity to build skills and technique. 

Visual Arts Alberta Gallery presents “Coming of Age” : The Graduatesshowcasing 10 graduating artists from five different communities in Alberta. The EDMONTON ESKIMOS host the Winnipeg Bluebombers, Friday, July 13th, Commonwealth Stadium, 7pm.  It’s LADIES NIGHT!   Guys – arrive early if you’d like to try to qualify to compete to win her a $10,000 ring from Michael Anthony Jewellers at the half-time show, hosted by former Bachelor Jake Pavelka!

EDMONTON FC hosts the Tampa Bay Rowdies, Sunday, July 15th, 2pm, Clarke Field – 11000 Stadium Road, Edmonton.  Fill the Bleachers for Bissell’s Inner City Recreation Program: Soccer Game Ticket Fundraiser Event: partial proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Inner City Recreation Program.  $5/ticket if 500 or less are sold,  $10/ticket for 500 tickets or more.

The 11th Annual MADD GOLF TOURNAMENT, Friday, July 13th, 2012, The LINKS IN SPRUCE GROVE.
