Edmonton’s Best Burger Hunt stop #6

Burger stop number…I don’t even know. LOL! After this month…slap me if I order another burger!! The quest to find the best burger led us to Red Robbin. We took the kids this weekend.

I know what you’re thinking….isn’t that a chain restaurant? Yes. But they specialize in burgers and a ton of Lite listeners told me to go there…so I did. Dan and I split a classic burger. It had all the makings of great burger. Big juicy meat patty, big soft fresh bun, fresh crispy veggies…lettuce tomato onion, and gooey pepper jack cheese. It was a beautiful looking burger. It was good but not spectacular….which is what I’m looking for.

Will I go back? For sure!! Love the nonstop steak fries, plus the kids and I want to order the mile high onion rings and I want to try a burger with blue cheese.
Time is ticking down…I only have a couple of stops left…where will I go next…stay tuned!

So here are the standings so far…
#1 Hundred Bar & Kitchen
#2 The Next Act Pub
#3 Rodeo Burger
#4 Fat Burger
#5 Five Guys Burgers and Fries
#6 Red Robbin

Glad you tried Red Robbin. Now that you HAVE, I’m going to have to get out there and try all of your other favourites. I must admit, the only other place on your list I’ve tried is Fat Burger, so Hundred Bar & Kitchen, here I come!
    Cheers, L

It’s unfortunate you haven’t considered Delux Burger Bar in Crestwood! Hundred might be okay since it’s part of the Century Grill chain, but trust me you can’t go wrong with a place that has ‘burger’ in the name. Once you’ve had a Delux burger…you ‘ll never want a fast food-like burger again!

Hi, what you are doing is a brilliant idea. Just a suggestion, but let’s also talk about bang for the buck because I know that Hundred lives up to its namesake and costs a pile of $$$. Myself, it’s been a while since I went on a burger quest, Fargo’s used to have an Intimidator which weighed in at around 2 pounds… that was great. The other place I really liked was Gusto’s out in St. Albert. I am not sure if the guy retired or passed away, but he did a huge burger that was good and his everyday “prince” was worth the weight/wait. The cheapest and best burger I have had in recent history was over at the Trap and Gill Pub. Big, good and cheap, the way it should be:D
