TURKEY CHILI – Monica Martin

Turkey Chili Recipe
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp of cilantro
1 c of bell pepper (green); chopped
2 garlic cloves; minced
1 c of wine (red)
2 large cans of kidney beans (15 &1/2 ounces); drained
1 Tbsp of chili seasoning powder
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of flaked red pepper; crushed
3 Tbsps of oil
1 & 1/4 c of onion; chopped
1 big can of stewed tomatoes (28 oz); crushed
3 c of turkey; cooked and sliced into half-inch cubes
Instructions:
In saucepan placed over mid-heat, saute bell peppers, garlic and onion w/ oil ’til veggies turn tender-crisp (5 mins). Add in wine, beans, turkey, tomatoes, chili seasoning powder, peppers, salt and cilantro.
Adjust to high-heat then allow to boil. Adjust to low-heat then simmer the mixture w/o cover for 10 minutes.
Garnish w/ chopped cilantro or onions prior to serving.
